Arts and Islam
The Arts and Islam programme was launched in 2006. The programme’s first intervention was the development of a one day seminar exploring the relationship between Art and Islam both from an artistic perspective but also providing a theological context.
Since its launch in 2006 the Arts and Islam programme has delivered interventions across the UK, North America and Europe. Our interventions have taken the form of seminars, symposiums, arts workshops, film screenings, support for festivals and residencies.
At the heart of the Arts and Islam vision is the need to promote and develop high quality arts practice and to stimulate meaningful discourse and dialogue.
