Interestingly in post apartheid South Africa there is no notion of white, black or coloured artists it is against the constitution. You have art plain and simple.

Grahamstown definitely showcases the rainbow diversity of South African arts and culture. From a faith perspective South Africa is even more interesting than the UK. You have a broad spectrum of faith communities as well as a very strong  representation of viewpoints from secular and atheist perspectives.

There is currently a Spiritfest which sits alongside the Grahamstown Festival which is Christian led and there is a desire to extend that to a wider celebration of Faith.
